Accessibility statement

Grantary is used by charity teams of every size and make-up, including volunteers and trustees, and we want every one of them to be able to run their grants here. We build against WCAG 2.2 level AA as our technical target, and we recognise our anticipatory duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments.

• Semantic HTML throughout: real headings, labels on every form field, and server-rendered pages that work without JavaScript-heavy interaction patterns.
• Full keyboard operability with a visible focus state on controls.
• A colour system designed for AA contrast in both light and dark themes, with meaning never carried by colour alone — statuses always pair a label with their colour.
• Charts and visualisations carry text alternatives: named, counted legends and data tables alongside donuts and trend lines.
• Motion is decorative only and respects the reduced-motion preference.
• Text scales with browser zoom and text-only zoom without loss of function.

• A formal third-party WCAG 2.2 audit has not yet been carried out. The statements above describe how the product is built, not an audited conformance claim. A formal audit is planned, and this statement will be updated with its date, method and findings.
• Known rough edges: some data-dense screens (the assessment workspace, large ledgers) have not been systematically tested with screen readers, and CSV exports are raw data files with no accessible formatting.
